Program pageWhat the health department recommends
Test your well every year for coliform bacteria and nitrate, and any time the water's taste, color, smell or look changes. Also test after the well is repaired or changed. If babies under 6 months or women of childbearing age drink the water, also test for fluoride, every 3 to 5 years.
